BBC Films announced today that they will adapt Alan Bennett's memoir "The Lady in the Van" with Maggie Smith playing the lady, Miss Shepherd and Alex returning to the part of Alan Bennett.
What is even more fantastic is that they could film it in the original location on Gloucester Crescent, where it all actually happened! This is something to seriously look forward to.
