Henry Fielding


Alex will take part in a charity event, "Henry Fielding: a Journey", for Coram on 11 April. The event will take place in Middle Temple Hall. The evening forms part of Coram’s 275th anniversary celebrations of the First Admission of a child to the Foundling Hospital in March 1741.

Other cast members are Simon Russell Beale, Ben Miller and John Sessions.

Rêverie Dates


Alex will appear with pianist Lucy Parham again in Rêverie this spring. Rêverie is about the life and music of Claude Debussy.

Award Nomination

Alex has been nominated for a an Audie award for his reading of "A God in Ruins"by Kate Atkinson. Winners are to be honoured at the Audie Awards Gala in Chicago on May 11
hosted by award-winning comedian and author, Paula Poundstone.

London Evening Standard British Film Awards


Alex attended the London Evening British Film Awards on Sunday evening 7 february. He presented Alan Bennett with the special award. Maggie Smith won the award for best actress for her role in "The Lady in the Van".

Senses and Stage Left

More Alex on the radio this coming week:

Alex plays Frank in the four part drama series "Stage Left" from this Monday on BBC Radio 4. The episode starts at 14.15 and will then be available on BBC iPlayer.

"Senses" started today on BBC Radio 4 Extra. This was first broadcast in 1990. Impressive cast list for this comedy drama in 6 parts: Joan Sims, Charles Gray, Alex Jennings, Sylvestra Le Touzel, Geoffrey Palmer, Lynda Bellingham, Brian Murphy, Rodney Bewes, Liz Fraser, Rory McGrath and Maurice Denham.
